That seemed a good idea, thought Alan, maybe that’s what it was like to have a wife.
Amanda called through the bathroom door,
‘Where’s the kettle?’
‘Oh, I threw it out, you’ll have to use a saucepan,’ replied Alan.
‘No first aid kit, no kettle? You really do need looking after , don’t you?’ joked Amanda.
Yes, thought Alan, by you, that would be very nice.
